ASC was established in May 1998 to be an independent government agency in aviation accident investigation, with the purpose of analyzing causal factors and proposing flight safety recommendations.

Through serial trial periods over the years, ASC operations are now right on the track, and has received recognition for its performance and high reputation from regional and international aviation accident investigation organizations. However, this gives us no reasons to be complacent, with the understanding that investigation skills are based on continuous learning and improvement. Our core belief is to maintain fairness and openness in our investigation process, with which we need to remind ourselves constantly and allow to compromise under no circumstances.

Our civil aviation business is now facing an even bigger challenge after Taiwan (ROC ) has joined WTO; with severe competition from the prevailing trend of low-cost carriers. Nevertheless, public demand on flight safety should not be compromised. The aviation industry is all about safety, and every one of us, including you, has a contributing role in flight safety by keeping a watchful eye, and be more vigilant to the surroundings.

We have much to show you in this website: introduction of ASC organization, news and events, investigation reports and safety recommendations, engineering laboratory, and undergoing research programs. Links to Flight Safety Database, the Taiwan Confidential Reporting System (TACRE), and other related websites are also provided. Our objective is to publish all information as comprehensive as possible on this website, as a step to show the spirit of transparency in our operation processes.
