The objective of the ASC‘s investigation of aviation occurrence is to prevent the recurrence of similar occurrences. It is not the purpose of such investigation to apportion blame or liability.

The main task of the investigation division is to conduct aviation occurrence investigations. The investigation procedures state as below:

A go team is dispatched to conduct the on scene investigation; stakeholder interview; test and research upon the notified aircraft occurrence confirmed. Thereafter complete the factual report.

After the analysis of the factual data, investigation conclusion and safety recommendations are accomplished through technical review meeting. The final report will become the official final report after the Council’s approval. With the publication of the final report, the investigation team will be dismissed in accordance with the Aviation Occurrences Investigation Standard Operation Procedure.
